Dental Insurance

I am a 45-year-old female living in NH and my funds are tight. My employer doesn't offer it, but I would like to get dental insurance. I would like coverage for bi-yearly cleanings and any problems that arise as I get older. Can you make any suggestions? Thank you for any and all help you can provide.

Answer:  Dental insurance is typically expensive. However, I do believe that some companies will be willing to offer different levels of insurance. Different products will have their own unique features. You can also find dental insurance that will allow you to pay different levels of co-payment. All of this can reduce your premiums.

If you have budget concerns, you might want to consider a discount dental plan as opposed to insurance. Basically, with a discount dental plan you'll be able to get your services at a lower cost, and there's no waiting period. If your primary concern is bi-yearly cleanings, this could be an economical way for you to go.
