Travel Insurance for Seniors

I will be taking a trip in August with a Princeton group traveling from Venice to Croatia along the coast on a sailing ship. The cancellation insurance I have been quoted is $800, for a trip that costs $8,000. I am 72 years of age; perhaps that is the reason it
seems so high. I would appreciate some insights into other ways of insuring the trip without the high cost.

Answer:

For the kind of insurance that you want, you are usually best off to get it from your travel agent. If this is the price you have been quoted, you may be stuck. My only other thought is to check out other travel insurance companies and see if you can get a competitive quote.
