Insurance for Surrogate Mothers

I am about to embark on a surrogacy arrangement in the United States. I wish to insure for post-birth medical emergencies for up to a week should they arise. I am the biological father and therefore have an insurable interest. All pre-birth medical arrangements are covered by the surrogacy agreement.

This is such a unique situation; I would consult with the lawyer that you are using for the surrogacy agreement. Perhaps the lawyer can locate an appropriate insurance company or may be able to make a recommendation (if the lawyer has been involved in surrogacy arrangements before).
