Disposition of Policy without Named Beneficiary

What will be the disposition of the face amount of a policy upon the demise of the insured if there is no named beneficiary?

Answer:

If there is no named beneficiary on a policy, the disposition should be to the insured’s estate. However, if you have any question about this particular situation, you should take advantage of a free half-hour of a lawyer’s advice. Consult with a lawyer that is knowledgeable in estate and tax law.
