I have recently been looking to change my auto insurance and was wondering if you knew of a site or reference that may be out there that gives the latest statistics on insurance companies and their customer service.  Just something for me look to at and compare their ratings on customer services.

Here's what I know: your state's department of insurance is a great resource for all kinds of information on insurance companies. I don't know what state you are in, so I'll use California as an example. On the California Department of Insurance website, you can find the "ranking" of each insurer in California, based on "justified complaints". (Think valid complaints.) It's that straightforward!

Not all states will have the same types of information, nor the same level of detail. However, if your insurer is operating in more than one state, you can always check another state's department of insurance and see if you can find more information there.
