this company and/or its name change?

I can't believe that I actually managed to find a company for you! I went to the Texas Department of Insurance website -- these folks have incredibly good records of insurance companies, and where they are now. (You can find this search tool at: https://wwwapps.tdi.state.tx.us/pcci/pcci_search.jsp).
When I looked up National Home Life, I found out that they are now part of Peoples Benefit Life Insurance. You can contact the company at:
