Good morning:
I was involved recently in a 'fail to remain' aka hit and run accident on the 401 highway. During this event, we were unable to identify the make, model or colour of the car that hit us, not the driver.
Since then, I have found out that because I don't have their insurance details, I am responsible to pay the $1,000 deductible applicable.
Is there any organization or fund available to help victims of crime of this nature? I just can't afford this extra expense, especially since I am 0% at fault for this accident.
