Generally speaking, you are looking at dollars a day to purchase travel insurance. While you can get a variety of coverages added which may increase the price, you should not be paying more than dollars per day. If the cost of travel insurance offered is high and you need this coverage, look elsewhere. While your travel agent will be more than willing to sell you insurance, they are receiving a commission to do so - and their insurance may not be the best price. - Compare features of the travel insurance policy
- Know whether the travel insurance company is 'reputable'
- Do some research into whether the travel insurance company pay their claims quickly and accurately
